MCA Reps. attend Community Policing Awards

Police Dinner 2013

The community centre manager, Janine McAuliffe (Left), and MCA president, Marilyn Wannamaker (Right), at the the Calgary Police Commission Community Dinner.

The Calgary Police Commission Community Policing Awards honour individuals, groups, organizations and businesses that contribute in an extraordinary way to improve police policy and/or the ability of the Calgary Police Service to serve the community.  They were awarded following a delicious dinner and small group discussion regarding issues in policing and safety in the communities.  The MCA is actively engaged with policing issues in our community, especially through the CSI committee (Community Safety Initiative).  This was a chance to network with other communities and the police about issues of concern, as well as to celebrate work well done.
