May 27: Home Road Transmission Tower Replacement Info Session

The public is invited and encouraged to come to a meeting with AUC officials about how to register concerns about replacement of the transmission towers along Home Road.  Drop in between 7 and 8 pm at the Sandman Hotel West (125 Bowridge Drive).   For more information about the replacement project, see the Notice of Hearing–Enmax Transmission Line Structures .  Please note:  closing date to register to be heard at the upcoming hearing has been updated to May 28, 4 p.m.

The towers are due to be replaced by solid metal poles, 1.5 meters across at the base, and 5 to 15 meters higher than the current towers, with wires that will carry considerably more power than is presently being transmitted.
